The Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) requires mortgage
lenders to report their activity each year to their regulatory
agency. MortgageDataWeb makes use of
this data supplied by lenders to provide market share information by State,
County, and by Metro Area. Reports on leading lenders and markets are also
available.

The data from HMDA is provided by the Federal Reserve once
per year describing the Loan Application registers of the institutions for the
prior year. This data is usually made
available in August of each year, and we publish it here by September.
For each institution, MortgageDataWeb also provides a
profile showing their activity in each market across the county, a report on
who the institution sold its loan portfolio to, ethnicity profile and income
profile of the institutions mortgage applicants and data on loan acceptance and
denials.
MortgageDataWeb can also provide special customization of
reports for you using HMDA Mortgage data. This
can include breakdowns by ethnicity, owner occupancy, income and other data.
