Any link in the sub-menu to the left brings up the selection page for that broad
category of conventional mortgages which are:
- All conventional (jumbos and conforming combined)
- Jumbo mortgages
- Conforming mortgages
- Focus on Mortgage Details
The selection page allows you to filter the market data
included in the report (start and end date,
purchase or refinance (where available).
Focus on Mortgage Details filters data at the individual loan level allowing you
to specify
minimum and maximum Loan-to-Value ratios, min and max Loan Amount and other criteria.
After your market share report is created you will see the rankings for the
area you have chosen. Each lender ranked in the report is a link to a
national report. From here you can launch
(in a new window) national report(s) to see how a given company's
rank in the selected market compares to all the other areas of lending
by that company.

A key feature of these "custom" report facilities
is your ability to select the periodicity of
the report, in contrast to the Snapshot facility where the common,
useful periods are pre-selected. Other selection criteria includes:
- purpose of mortgage (i.e. purchase-money or refinance)
- date of mortgage (i.e. pick a range within which the closing occurred)
- number of detail lines to show in the market share report.
The geographic level of detail is determined by the link selected. The choices are:
- Metro Area (a set of counties)
- County (you select the State and County Name)
- City name
- Zip Code (you select the state, county and zip code)
- A custom-defined area
You can create your own Custom-defined areas by selecting any mixture of areas up to a maximum of 100 counties.
For example, you could combine all the counties in the Dallas-Ft.Worth CBSA with all the counties in the Houston CBSA
simply by choosing these two metro areas.
